SHAOLI GHOSH & JAYEETA BENERJEE

Shaoli Gosh, who arrived in Canada in 2011, has teamed up with Jayeeta and developed a blend of rich Indian classical art with contemporary dance in a beautiful combination of fusion of music. Shaoli Ghosh is a professionally trained Classical Indian dancer and choreographer. She started training in the beautiful art form Kathak at the tender age of four under the tutolage of Mrs. Bharati Banerjee (from Kolkata). She has completed her 5th year on dance course from Prayag Sangeet Samiti Allahabad.

Jayeeta Banerjee is a popular Bharatnattyam performer and a promising young artist from Toronto. She started her training in Bharatnattyam at the age of 6 under Guru Dr. Thankamani Kutty, a reputed disciple of Guru Chinnammu Amma of Kerala Kalamandalam. Her repretoir includes Bharatnattyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniatam.

Together Shaoli and Jeyeeta continue their rigorous training in classical dance as reflected in their manifestation of intricate and complicated rhythm patterns. Their choreography presents intense rasa and abhinaya to depict the essence or the mood of their performances. Shaoli and Jayeeta will wow the audience of TD Mosaic festival with  Bollywood tracks to mix both classical and modern dance movements.
